NEW! Video of the RC45 posted Take a ride on the incompareable RC45. A 9+ minute video shot with the GoPro on-board video cameras!
This is another Honda V4 I have wanted since my first glance! I never thought I would have the opportunity to own one so when I found one, I bought it! Since I am one of the lucky who have gotten the opportunity to own on of these rare, historic bikes, I hope to share my experiences with it for whom ever is interested.
I picked up my RC45 from the original owner. It has been a road bike and has a little over 9,000 miles on it. The bike is in phenomenal, mint, museum quality condition. The photos here cannot do it justice. This bike is serial number 016 of 53 imported into the North American market with about 25 others going straight to race teams. Of the 53 imported into North America, 45 were for the US and 5 for Canada, Only a couple of hundred were made world wide to meet the production requirements for homologation, allowing HRC to enter the RC45 in the World Superbike (WSBK) racing and for the international endurance racing venues.
Hopefully, other Honda V4 aficionados and riders will find something useful on this page, or just enjoy sharing the legacy and the camaraderie of owning and riding the the Honda V4 powered sport bikes: the RC45, RC30, and the VF & VFR series. Some of my narrative comments may also reflect my opinions about safety and non-2 wheeled drivers. If you don't like my views, tough...its my web site.
A great resource for information on Honda VFRs is the VFRD website at http://www.vfrdiscussion.com. I support them and if you ride a VFR, you should too!
